# Origin Story

How It All Began...

Like all great revolutions, PalPaw was birthed in the murky waters of an ecosystem littered with exploitation, manipulation, and unjust circumstances that have poisoned a once prosperous community. The Solana network, with its innovative features, promised to be a place of decentralized opportunity, where anyone could participate freely in the market without being subjected to manipulation and abuse. However, now, the casinos of Las Vegas offer better odds than Solana, as bad actors in the space continue to push "pump and dump" scam projects out, one after another.

People are being robbed blind, and frankly: we're sick of it, we won't stand for it any longer! Thus, we present to you: PalPaw, a meme token project by the people, for the people. After all, it's us, the people, whom the scammers are after. It's us they want! It's our money, our buying power.

But why do we need them? If they can whip together a low-quality project in a couple of days to lure us in with the value we bring, why can't we take the time to build something special and create value for ourselves? In turn, providing growth, rewards, and benefits to the community, to the holders!

Exactly! We don't need them, and we can do this as a community, by us, for us!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://palpaw-token.gitbook.io/palpaw/preface/origin-story.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
